Technical Training Evening report

Last night’s Technical Evening was a great success with over 40 Replacement Service customers in attendance. Our suppliers were well represented by Launch UK, Hella, Delphi and Hickleys.

The evening kicked off with great refreshments supplied by Kits, providing everyone a chance to catch up and relax after work. At 7pm we filed into the presentation suite for the first of a brace of talks by Frank and David Massey from ADS.

Frank kicked off by describing the G-Xpert Passport to Xpert Training Programme and how Replacement Service can offer you, the customer, access to this exclusive programme. Frank then went on to illustrate the importance of correct diagnostic equipment and methodical diagnostic process to the garage technician. Frank used his wealth of knowledge, backed up and evidenced by case studies to get the point across.

We then took a short break for drinks and some discussion of Frank’s presentation, before we headed back in for round two.

David’s presentation was basically a short course on how to correctly diagnose and correct diesel particulate filter (DPF) related problems. His content was very interesting and the information presented was certainly illuminating.

We then broke up to meet the suppliers and check out their offerings, which definitely seemed to impress if the amount of orders placed were anything to go by. The browsing of equipment was accompanied by further food and drink and the atmosphere was positive. The raffle was drawn and Steve from Muslin Hall Garage drew first place, with Chris at Quarmby Garage taking second and David at Glebe Street Garage taking 3rd.

All in all a success.

Anyone requiring further info on vehicle diagnostics and training should give us a call or use the form on the Contact page of the website. Orders are already been placed for training and details regarding the first training days will be appearing shortly.

IAAF clearly illustrates the squeeze placed by Dealers on the Independent Garages’ Market

“For independent garages to buy parts from dealers’ parts clubs, when they’re pinching your customers is short sighted,”.
